You hired a strong workforce
Protect the backbone of your business

SoterSpine is an end-to-end solution that can be used by organisations in a variety of configurations, dependant on their risk profile. Employees self manage their improvement while data is used by management to implement further data-driven solutions
SoterSpine is designed to be implemented as an end-to-end solution in a number of different configuration modules:

  • SoterSpine Coach - a training program to build awareness and embed safe working behaviors
  • SoterSpine Extend - a more continuously worn solution for long-term risk mitigation
  • SoterSpine Rehab - help workers returning from an injury and avoid re-injury
  • SoterSpine Dashboard - for managers & health & safety departments
Use with your workforce

SoterSpine Coach

The first ergonomics training program powered by AI. Able to understand an individual's back injury risks and personalize recommendations. It is also an easy & highly engaging program to implement, entirely managed by each worker through the SoterSpine app.

The typical worker reduces the number of higher-risk movements by 30-70%

SoterSpine's AI heath coach delivers a 12-day improvement program combining real-time feedback via the wearable device with personalized insights via the App. Engaged workers learn & embed movement techniques that reduce their risk of injury, resulting in substantial long-term safety & productivity improvements.

The wearable device identifies hazardous actions by continuously measuring the risk from movements, frequencies, and forces on the body. It can identify 8 types of events including:
  • end-range bending & twisting of the lower back
  • sustained awkward static postures
  • high & sudden force movements
Users are instantaneously notified while doing certain movements by the device vibrating & an audible alarm.

The mobile App, used by the workers to self-manage the program, is simple & engaging.
  • Smart design
  • Daily instructions provided by virtual coach
  • Only 3-5 minutes per day of interaction required

Personalized insight
The AI uses the data collected during the first days of a worker using the device to understand & prioritise each worker's issues. It then delivers personalized recommendations through the virtual coach in the App.
Unlike typical industrial wearable program, we’ve eliminated organisational complexity by building a solution where the worker is engaged & self manages their progress.
We put the worker first through human centric design
  • Program is self-managed
  • Worker sees the results & benefits
  • Worker drives the improvement process
A more engaged worker gets better improvement results
This reduces management & administration
  • Implementation in less than 1 hour for 100’s of workers
  • Manager intervention by exception
This solution allows managers to focus on high-value interactions with workers

Employees install the App and create a profile (3min), no sensitive personal data required
Employees clip the device on when starting their shift
Each day, synchronise data with the App and follow instructions for 3-5 minutes

SoterSpine Extend

A more continuous solution where the device is worn by the employee for a longer period. Designed for a smaller subset of the workforce who are at an increased risk of injury.

Employs an intelligent warning system that identifies personalised increases in risk. Also suitable for company ready to map and monitor risk in the workplace on the long-term as the solution informs management how risk exposure levels vary in time.

Often, SoterSpine Extend implementation is requested by organizations and their employees following SoterSpine Coach 12-day program.

SoterSpine Rehab

Similar to Coach but with a specific setup to help a worker returning from an injury, avoid re-injury, and provide information back to the therapist managing the return to work strategy.

Sensitivity of the wearable device can be adjusted with therapists to emphasise detection of risks and prevention of re-injury.

SoterSpine Dashboard

The dashboard allows organisations to:
  • view and manage the progress of workers
  • visualise risk data
The latter is particularly useful to analyse to reduce musculoskeletal risk through redesigning jobs and the workplace.

The Dashboard is also used by the occupational health providers to visualise the risk and provide their own expertise in reducing injury risk.
